Privacy notice

How PhotoDojo handles private-beta data.

Effective September 13, 2026

Information we collect

PhotoDojo stores your account email and the profile, goals, ratings, feedback, projects, contact sheets, challenges, and photographs or previews you choose to add. A private-beta request also includes the contact, photography-practice, archive-size, and optional challenge details you submit. Essential session, device, security, request, and diagnostic information helps authenticate accounts, limit abuse, and keep the beta reliable.

Photograph metadata

Imported photographs may include captured date, camera, lens, focal length, aperture, shutter speed, ISO, dimensions, location labels, latitude, longitude, and other embedded metadata. PhotoDojo uses this information to organize your Library, show measured patterns in Evolution, understand how the product is used, and improve the service. Exact location data is private account data and is not included in community summaries.

SensAI requests

When you explicitly request a SensAI feature, PhotoDojo sends the relevant text, selected photographs or previews, sequence context, and grounded visual evidence to OpenAI. PhotoDojo configures OpenAI not to retain application state from these responses. OpenAI states that API data is not used to train its models by default, although limited safety and abuse-monitoring retention may still apply. PhotoDojo records whether a request worked, how much it used and cost, which feature version ran, and any feedback you submit. We use these records to manage limits and fix failures.

Payments

When a paid beta offering is available, Stripe processes checkout and payment-card information. PhotoDojo does not receive or store complete card details. PhotoDojo stores the Stripe customer, checkout, order, product, and fulfillment identifiers needed to complete a purchase, prevent duplicate fulfillment, provide support, and maintain transaction records.

How information is used

We use your information to review beta requests, run your private account, save your creative history, and personalize guidance from the evidence you provide. We also use it to understand feature use, improve PhotoDojo, enforce plan limits, prevent abuse, and keep the service reliable. Authorized operators may review an account's Pulse history, voluntary feedback, reflections, and activity when providing support or investigating product-quality concerns. PhotoDojo does not treat inferred creative interpretations as objective facts or use your photographs to train a PhotoDojo model.

Analytics and community insights

PhotoDojo may create internal reports about feature use, including which public product demonstrations are viewed, played, completed, or followed to the beta-request page. Demo measurement uses a temporary random session identifier rather than an advertising cookie and does not store an IP address, raw browser description, or account identity. We also report on Photography Pulse responses, helpfulness feedback, creative reflections, and technical photograph metadata such as camera, lens, focal length, capture timing, and broad geographic coverage. Community summaries use metadata only from photographers who opt in. We remove account identities and exclude photographs, notes, exact coordinates, and routes. We show a group only when it includes at least ten photographers. PhotoDojo does not publish an individual photographer's activity or creative history as a community statistic.

Communications and choices

Personalized in-app prompts start on for new accounts and may use recent activity to choose more timely PhotoDojo reminders and practice prompts. You can turn them off at any time. Practice emails, product emails, place-based ideas, and community contributions are separate choices that stay off until you opt in. If you allow a type of message, PhotoDojo may use your activity and photo details—such as camera, lens, focal length, or general location—to decide whether that message is relevant to you. Place-based ideas require both the place choice and a communication channel you allow. Exact coordinates, routes, notes, and photographs are not included in contact-list exports. You can change these choices from the Account page. Essential account, security, transaction, and service messages may still be sent when needed to operate PhotoDojo. Every future promotional email must provide a working opt-out, and changing a preference does not reduce access to the service.

Service providers and sharing

PhotoDojo uses Supabase for authentication, database, and storage services; Vercel for hosting; OpenAI for requested SensAI features; and Stripe for payments. These providers process information only as needed to provide their services under their own contractual and legal obligations. Authorized PhotoDojo operators may access limited account, activity, feedback, metadata, and transaction records for support, product analysis, reliability, security, or quality work. PhotoDojo does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Essential technology and security

PhotoDojo uses essential authentication, session, security, and preference technologies. The private beta does not use advertising cookies. PhotoDojo applies access controls, account ownership rules, signed payment events, rate limits, and operational monitoring, but no online service can promise absolute security.

Retention and deletion

Account information is retained while the private-beta account remains active or as needed to operate and secure the service. You can permanently delete your account from the Account page. Deleting your account removes your sign-in and the PhotoDojo records linked to you. We also delete private previews. If a provider cleanup fails, a PhotoDojo operator completes it. To prevent repeated refund or promotional abuse, PhotoDojo may retain a limited service-only record after account deletion. That record can include keyed representations of a normalized email address, Stripe customer or charge identifiers, and a payment-method fingerprint supplied by Stripe. PhotoDojo does not receive or store your full payment-card number. Payment providers and PhotoDojo may also retain limited transaction, fraud-prevention, security, or legal records when required.

Your choices and rights

In PhotoDojo, you can update your profile and your communication, personalization, and community choices. To request a copy, correction, or deletion of your data, use the contact method from your beta invitation. You may also ask to remove a pending beta-access request. Additional privacy rights may apply where you live, and PhotoDojo will respond as required by applicable law.

Age and international processing

PhotoDojo's private beta is for adults 18 and older. The beta is not for children under 13 or other minors. Do not submit personal information about a child. Service providers may process information in the United States or other countries where they operate. Any future school, institutional, or minor-access program will use separate approval and safeguards before enrollment.

Beta changes and questions

This notice may change as the private beta evolves. If we materially change how we use existing information, we will update the effective date and, when practical, notify you by email or inside PhotoDojo before the new use begins. Privacy or deletion questions should be sent through the contact channel used for your beta invitation.

Review the private-beta terms or manage deletion from your Account page.
